The policy implications of the Western Development under the dual-cycle pattern to promote the coordinated development of regional economies are manifested in five major innovation changes from a quantitative to a qualitative change from a single space to a layered and diversified spatial layout from a domestic region to an international region from the land area to the ocean area and the from unidirectional polarization to polarization radiation in both directions. The mechanism effect of the Western Development in the new era to promote the coordinated development of the region is reflected in the three dimensions narrowing the economic gap between the east and the west integrating the region into the _"Belt and Road_" to enhance the level of regional development along the route and linking and coordinating the region to promote the balanced development of the world economy. Now it is time to maximize the collective effect by making up for the shortcomings integrating regional information and transportation resources and coordinating regional economic platforms.
